Asia-Pacific emerged as the fastest-growing Travel & Tourism region in 2025, recording 8.1% GDP growth to reach US$3.29 trillion. In contrast, North America lagged with just 1% growth, totalling US$ 3.05 trillion. World Travel & Tourism Council highlighted how connectivity, investment, and policy continue to influence regional performance gaps. Gloria Guevara, President & CEO, WTTC, said, “Despite global challenges, Travel & Tourism continues to show remarkable resilience, but growth is clearly uneven. Governments must recognise Travel & Tourism as a strategic priority and enable policies that support connectivity, investment, and international openness to ensure sustained and balanced growth across regions.”
