Booking behaviour in domestic travel is shifting sharply, with travellers delaying confirmations and prioritising flexibility. Riaz Munshi, Managing Director, N Chirag Travels, said, “We are clearly seeing travellers booking much closer to departure dates, as uncertainty continues to influence decision-making. Flexible cancellation policies have become a key requirement rather than an added benefit. Around 15–20% of bookings now require restructuring into credits or rescheduled plans.” He added that travellers are actively seeking low-risk, adaptable domestic itineraries.
