Riyadh new water park introduces women-only days

The newly opened Aquarabia water park has introduced its first-ever women-only day, offering a dedicated space for female visitors every Friday. The initiative aims to create a comfortable and culturally appropriate leisure environment.

Located on the outskirts of Riyadh, the park opened to the public recently and quickly drew attention for its unique approach to inclusivity and cultural sensitivity in recreational spaces.

A key highlight of the opening was a swimwear presentation by Lanuuk, showcasing designs that balance fashion with modesty. The collection featured a variety of options, from loose two-piece sets to longer tunics and kaftan-style layers.

Visitors appreciated the dress code guidelines, which require modest swimwear such as sleeveless, knee-length suits or burkinis on regular days, while still allowing some flexibility during women-only sessions. This approach helps align leisure activities with local cultural values.

Many attendees expressed that such initiatives empower women to participate more freely in outdoor and adventure experiences, especially in environments tailored to their comfort and preferences.

Spread across 250,000 square meters, Aquarabia features over 20 water rides and attractions, positioning itself as one of the largest water parks in the region while redefining leisure experiences in Saudi Arabia.
