NIMA pushes for collaborations with domestic MICE players as 70% demand shifts within India


With nearly 70% of MICE demand now driven by domestic travel, we are urging agents to leverage intra-network collaboration across cities, said Vikas Khanduri, Advisor, Network of Indian MICE Agents (NIMA). The association is promoting regional partnerships to help agents capture growing domestic opportunities.

Khanduri highlighted India’s growing positioning as a MICE destination, supported by over 100 airports, improved connectivity, and expanding convention infrastructure. He noted that NIMA is encouraging agents to leverage intra-network partnerships across cities to capture domestic opportunities, while building knowledge capabilities to align with evolving market demand.
