IHCL has announced the signing of a 105-key Gateway resort in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, marking the hospitality company’s expansion in the state’s leisure and experiential travel segment. The brownfield project will feature banquet and meeting facilities, targeting destination weddings, MICE demand, and short-haul leisure travel growth.
Located on the Jaipur–Agra highway, the resort will include multiple dining venues, recreational facilities, a swimming pool, and fitness centre. Bharatpur, home to the Keoladeo National Park UNESCO World Heritage Site, is witnessing increasing demand for experiential tourism. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said Bharatpur is strategically positioned to benefit from rising weekend and short-vacation travel demand. Following this signing, IHCL will have 67 hotels in Rajasthan, including 24 under development.
