Sun PhuQuoc Airways launches direct Singapore–Phu Quoc flights

Sun PhuQuoc Airways has announced the launch of direct flights between Singapore and Phu Quoc, becoming the first full-service airline to operate on the route. Ticket sales officially opened on May 20, while the inaugural flight is scheduled to begin operations on July 25, 2026.

The airline will operate daily flights between the two destinations with both business class and economy class seating options. Flights departing from Singapore Changi Airport will leave at 2:20 pm and arrive in Phu Quoc at 3:05 pm local time. Return flights will depart from Phu Quoc at 10:35 am local time and land in Singapore at 1:20 pm.

Passengers travelling on the route can expect a full-service onboard experience that includes hot meals, checked baggage allowances and wireless in-flight entertainment. Business class travellers will also receive priority services focused on comfort, convenience and privacy during the journey.

To promote the launch, the airline is offering introductory fares starting from SGD 133 one-way for travel during the first month of operations, subject to seat availability. Travellers booking tickets between May 20 and June 19 can additionally receive a 20 per cent discount on base fares by using the promotional code “SINGPHUQUOC.”

Currently, the Singapore–Phu Quoc route is mainly served by low-cost carriers including Scoot and VietJet Air. Industry observers believe the introduction of a full-service airline on the route may attract premium leisure travellers and families seeking added comfort and bundled tourism benefits.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways is backed by Vietnamese hospitality and real estate group Sun Group, which operates attractions such as Sun World Hon Thom, Sun World Ba Na Hills and Sun World Fansipan Legend. The airline is also bundling complimentary cable car tickets and discounts on hotels, dining, spa and entertainment experiences as part of its travel packages.
