Udaipur’s Maharana Pratap Airport is set for a major capacity expansion, with its new integrated passenger terminal now expected to be completed by September 2026. Developed by the Airports Authority of India, the terminal will significantly enhance passenger handling capabilities and support the airport’s long-term international ambitions. Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu recently confirmed that the facility will be inaugurated this year, while discussions with airlines are underway to commence overseas services from Udaipur. The upgraded infrastructure is expected to strengthen Rajasthan’s tourism connectivity, improve the visitor experience, and position Udaipur as a stronger gateway for both domestic and international leisure travellers.
