Ram Nath Kovind lauds Rajeev Jain’s 2ⁿᵈ Vivah Utsav


Rajeev Jain, Founder and Director, Rashi Entertainment, met Ram Nath Kovind, 14th President of India, in New Delhi to share the impact of the second edition of Vivah Utsav 2026. The interaction highlighted the initiative’s contribution towards supporting underprivileged couples and promoting social empowerment.

The meeting followed the successful organisation of the second edition of Vivah Utsav, a social initiative conducted by Rashi Entertainment in association with Ladli Foundation under the blessings of Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj.

Held in New Delhi, the initiative facilitated the marriages of 51 underprivileged couples and was attended by Ram Nath Kovind, 14th President of India, and Rekha Gupta, Chief Minister of Delhi.

Focus on empowerment

As part of the initiative, each bride received a laptop and a cheque of INR1 lakh aimed at supporting her education and future aspirations.

During the interaction, Kovind appreciated the efforts behind Vivah Utsav and acknowledged its contribution towards women’s empowerment and social upliftment. He also encouraged similar initiatives that create meaningful and lasting impact within communities.

Expressing his gratitude following the meeting, Rajeev Jain said the recognition and encouragement would further inspire efforts towards social causes and initiatives focused on supporting those in need.

Industry’s role in social impact

The meeting also highlighted the evolving role of the events industry in driving community-focused initiatives beyond its traditional functions.

Vivah Utsav has emerged as an example of how industry stakeholders can contribute to social development through collaborative programmes that support underprivileged sections of society while creating opportunities for empowerment, dignity, and inclusion.
