Nagpur’s Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport has been officially handed over to GMR Group for development and operations under a public-private partnership. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis directed GMR to complete the first phase of the airport’s modernisation before 2029. “There should be no compromise on quality. Passengers should experience a dramatically transformed airport within a year,” he said.
