Affluent Asia-Pacific travellers plan fewer trips but extend average holidays to nine nights, Marriott study reveals

Affluent travellers across Asia-Pacific are opting for fewer but longer international holidays, with the average leisure trip projected to increase to nine nights, according to Marriott International’s Luxury Group. Based on a survey of 2,800 high-net-worth travellers across eight markets, the report found growing demand for immersive experiences, boutique hotels, and private villas over traditional five-star stays. Travellers are prioritising personalisation, cultural immersion, and higher-value experiences rather than packing multiple destinations into one itinerary.
