Kerala targets Arab tourists with focused marketing push

Kerala will allocate a larger share of its tourism marketing budget to attract visitors from Arab countries, recognising their growing contribution to the state’s tourism sector.

Tourism Minister P.C. Vishnunadh announced the strategy while addressing the media ahead of the Indo-Arab Connect 2026 tourism summit.

The minister said tourists from Arab nations play a decisive role in Kerala’s tourism growth, making the region a key focus for future promotional campaigns.

The Indo-Arab Connect 2026 summit is jointly organised by the Association of Arab Tour Operators (AATO), the Indo-Arab Tourism and Hospitality Alliance, and Tourism India.

The event is being held in collaboration with Kerala Tourism, the Union Tourism Ministry and Cochin International Airport Limited.

The initiative aims to strengthen tourism ties between India and Arab countries while expanding Kerala’s presence in one of its most important international source markets.
