The Travel Trade Association of Uttar Pradesh (TTAUP) successfully conducted its 10th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Hilton Garden Inn, Lucknow, in the presence of over 150 travel trade members from across the state.
During the AGM, the election process for the new Executive Committee for the 2026–2029 term was completed.
Leading the newly elected team, Sheeraz, Managing Director, Sheeraz Tours, Lucknow, has been elected as the President of the Travel Trade Association of Uttar Pradesh (TTAUP) for the 2026–2029 term.
Expressing his gratitude, Sheeraz thanked all the members for reposing their faith and confidence in him. He stated that he is committed to working collectively with the Executive Committee and all members to strengthen the travel and tourism industry of Uttar Pradesh.
Speaking exclusively to TravTalk, S M A Sheeraz said, “As President of TTAUP, my vision for the coming year is to strengthen the travel trade ecosystem by creating new opportunities for our members, with a special focus on sustainable growth, collaboration, and market development.”
He further highlighted that he aims to work closely with national and international tourism boards to organize roadshows, destination presentations, and training sessions. His overall focus will be on experiential travel, emerging destinations, and offbeat tourism products that are relevant to the Uttar Pradesh market. This will enable TTAUP’s members to offer unique travel experiences and stay ahead of evolving travel trends.
Additionally, he looks forward to prioritising the growth and empowerment of travel agents in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities across Uttar Pradesh as these markets hold immense potential, and by providing better networking opportunities, training, and industry exposure, the association can help its members expand their businesses and reach new customers.
Another objective that Sheeraz aims to work on is coordination with Uttar Pradesh Tourism to promote the state as a leading destination for spiritual tourism, while also highlighting its rich culinary heritage, handicrafts, wildlife, and eco-tourism offerings. By showcasing the diverse tourism potential of Uttar Pradesh, we can attract more domestic and international visitors.
