On 30th July 2026, Switzerland Tourism India conducted a destination training for the travel trade in Guwahati. The attendees got an opportunity to learn about Switzerland and its touristic offerings through presentations by Switzerland Tourism India, Travel Switzerland, Rail Europe, Jungfraubahnen, Zermatt Bergbahnen, Lake Geneva Region, TITLIS Cableways and BLS Schifffahrt AG / Interlaken Lake Cruise.
The presentations were followed by an opportunity for table-top meetings with each participating partner. There is a strong demand for Switzerland from holiday-goers from across India, beyond the big cities. Guwahati is one such market that showcases tremendous potential and provides a great opportunity to showcase the various touristic offerings from our destination.
