Kyrgyzstan has described India as a key global partner, with bilateral cooperation expanding across political, economic, investment, education, culture and tourism.
Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kubatov said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s expected participation in the upcoming SCO Summit would provide an opportunity to discuss a broad range of bilateral and regional issues.
He highlighted the growing flow of Indian tourists to Kyrgyzstan and said there is significant potential to further expand the market by improving travel facilitation and connectivity.
Increasing direct air connectivity between Bishkek and Indian cities was identified as a key priority. Kyrgyzstan currently has connections with major Indian cities including Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.
The country is also working to simplify visa procedures to make travel easier for Indian visitors and support greater tourism exchanges between the two countries.
Kyrgyzstan sees stronger tourism ties with India as part of its broader strategy to deepen engagement with New Delhi and strengthen its position as an attractive Central Asian destination.
