Goa recorded 61.38 lakh tourist arrivals between January and July 2026, reflecting overall growth despite challenging global travel and economic conditions.
The state is also witnessing growing interest in monsoon tourism, with travellers exploring Goa’s nature, heritage, cuisine, wellness, waterfalls and local communities beyond traditional beach holidays.
International markets are showing encouraging prospects for the upcoming winter season, particularly the UK, Russia, Central Asia and European markets. TUI is set to operate four weekly charter flights from the UK, with bookings already reaching 15,300 passengers, 7% higher than last year.
Russia and Central Asia are also gaining momentum, with Concord Exotic Voyages expecting more than 45,000 international tourists during the 2026–27 season. Advance bookings from Russia and Kazakhstan have increased, while emerging markets including Belarus, Armenia, Moldova and Kyrgyzstan are showing stronger demand.
Goa’s hotel sector is also reporting robust performance. IHCL recorded around 80% occupancy during the first quarter, representing approximately 18% year-on-year growth and reinforcing the destination’s growing year-round appeal.
With strong arrivals, international bookings, charter capacity and hotel performance, Goa is entering the second half of 2026 on a positive note. The state is focusing on diversifying source markets, improving connectivity and promoting leisure, MICE, wellness, heritage and experiential tourism.
