Ravish Kumar Singh takes additional charge at Mumbai Port as Deputy Chairperson

Ravish Kumar Singh, IRTS, has assumed additional charge as Deputy Chairperson of the Mumbai Port Authority (MbPA), effective September 17, 2026. Singh is currently serving as Deputy Chairperson of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA).

Singh brings experience across port administration, railway operations, logistics planning and commercial management. Before joining JNPA, he served as Deputy Chief Operations Manager at Central Railway and held several operational and commercial positions within Indian Railways.

He was welcomed by Dr Angamuthu, IAS, Chairperson, Mumbai Port Authority, along with heads of departments and senior officials. The authority also acknowledged the contribution of Adesh Titarmare, IAS, who completed his tenure as Deputy Chairperson on September 16.

Angamuthu said Singh’s experience in railway operations, logistics and port administration would support Mumbai Port’s ongoing work across cargo operations, energy infrastructure, cruise tourism, marina development, sustainability and city-port interface projects.

Singh assumes the additional responsibility as Mumbai Port Authority advances major initiatives under its Master Plan 2047 and Eastern Waterfront Transformation programme. The projects cover port operations, cruise infrastructure, marine tourism, energy infrastructure, green port initiatives and public-facing maritime developments.

The Mumbai Port Authority continues to focus on strengthening its role as a working port, cruise and passenger gateway and energy infrastructure centre, while expanding its contribution to Mumbai’s maritime economy and the country’s wider port sector.
