Mayfair Spring Valley Resort, Guwahati, has partnered with the BURPP Festival 2026, scheduled for October 10–11, as live events increasingly contribute to travel decisions and destination activity. The festival will feature DIVINE on October 10 and Lucky Ali on October 11 at Sarusajai Stadium.
The association comes as Assam develops its concert tourism ecosystem, with large-scale music events generating demand for accommodation, dining, transport and other tourism services. The state’s Concert Tourism Policy, notified in 2025, identifies live events as an opportunity to increase visitor movement and support tourism-linked businesses.
Assam’s concert economy has been projected to generate more than INR 700 crore in cumulative economic impact over five years through a structured pipeline of events. The state government has also positioned concert tourism as part of its wider tourism and economic development strategy, with a focus on attracting visitors and creating opportunities across multiple sectors.
As the hospitality partner for BURPP Festival, Mayfair Spring Valley Resort will accommodate visitors travelling to Guwahati for the event while offering dining and hospitality experiences linked to the region. The property said the partnership reflects the growing role of hotels in supporting event-led travel by combining accommodation, food, leisure and destination experiences.
Pardeep Siwach, General Manager, Mayfair Spring Valley Resort, said concerts can create new reasons for travellers to visit Guwahati while encouraging them to spend more time exploring Assam. The resort has previously hosted large-scale engagements, including the BRICS Heads of Anti-Drug Agencies Meeting in July 2026, organised by the Narcotics Control Bureau during India’s BRICS Presidency.
