Air India has unveiled a preview of its Vista Digital Platform, a next-generation connected in-flight entertainment (IFE) software system designed to enhance the passenger experience through more personalised and integrated digital services.
Developed by Air India’s in-house design and software teams, Vista is expected to introduce several patent-pending innovations. The platform is currently being integrated with IFE hardware systems as the airline prepares for its phased deployment.
Progressive implementation is planned to begin in FY2028, initially on selected new aircraft deliveries. The system is expected to be extended to more aircraft across Air India’s fleet over time as the integration progresses.
Vista has been designed to provide greater consistency across different types of in-flight entertainment hardware installed on Air India aircraft. This is intended to create a more unified digital experience for passengers travelling across the airline’s fleet.
Beyond entertainment, the connected platform is expected to support richer interactions across different stages of the journey. Air India said the system is being developed to connect the passenger experience before, during and after the flight.
The platform forms part of Air India’s broader focus on technology-led improvements to its passenger experience. Once deployed, Vista is expected to provide a more connected and personalised interface while bringing new digital capabilities to the airline’s in-flight environment.
