Goa Tourism has launched a State-level Tourist Facilitator Certification Programme to create skilled professionals and expand employment opportunities in the tourism sector. The programme, introduced under an MoU between the Department of Tourism, Goa University and GIPARD, will offer Beginner and Advanced-level courses covering tour guiding, communication, storytelling, safety, ecology and responsible tourism. Rohan Khaunte, Tourism Minister, said, “As we expand our tourism narrative beyond beaches to heritage, wellness, culinary, adventure, homestays and spiritual tourism, there is a need for trained people who can communicate these experiences responsibly.”
