Israel’s Ministry of Tourism is investing millions of shekels in a domestic tourism campaign this November, offering discounted tours and activities to stimulate travel demand. The initiative aims to support tourism businesses and generate economic activity across the country as international tourism continues to recover.
The second edition of Israeli Tourism Month will feature approximately 1,000 guided tours, alongside hundreds of cultural, nature, sports, and culinary activities, as well as performances by leading artists. Tours and activities will be priced at 18 shekels, while participating tourism businesses will offer discounts of more than 25% during their designated regional week.
The programme will run across four regions, with activities scheduled from Wednesday to Saturday. Jerusalem, the West Bank, the Judean foothills, and surrounding areas will be featured from 4–7 November, followed by northern Israel from 11–14 November, southern Israel from 18–21 November, and central Israel, from the Carmel area to Ashdod, from 25–28 November.
The Ministry is inviting hotels, restaurants, attractions, tour guides, and guesthouses to participate. Businesses will be featured on the programme’s official website and receive support through Ministry-funded paid promotion.
Michael Izhakov, Director-General, Israel’s Ministry of Tourism, said, “The success of Israeli Tourism Month last year proved that there is great demand among the public for quality and accessible tourism experiences in Israel. This year we are expanding the initiative, strengthening cooperation with tour guides and with the thousands of businesses that make up Israel’s magnificent tourism industry. We invite the public to discover the country at a nominal price.”
He added that domestic tourism was an important support for the industry’s resilience while inbound tourism continued to recover. The initiative forms part of the Ministry’s broader policy to strengthen demand, stimulate economic activity across the country, and support tourism-dependent businesses and families.
