Hilton’s 2027 Trends Report finds Indian travellers increasingly favouring shorter, experience-rich trips, with 80% wanting to pack more into limited travel time. Some 84% define a short trip as fewer than 3–4 days, while 69% trust hotel staff for travel-planning advice. The report also finds 66% of Indians are more likely to trust recommendations from people with loyalty status. Wellness is another major demand driver: 87% say fresh air and outdoor experiences are essential to relaxation, while 61% spend more time in nature when travelling than at home. Across APAC, 59% prefer trips offering more experiences in less time, 69% trust hotel staff, and 76% say having a trip planned gives them purpose. Hilton surveyed 14,744 travellers across 14 markets with Morning Consult.
