Switzerland Tourism is targeting Indian travellers beyond the April–June peak season, promoting autumn and winter experiences, lesser-known destinations, and longer stays. The initiative follows a 1.8% increase in overnight stays by Indian guests in 2025, adding 12,000 nights year-on-year, according to Switzerland’s Federal Statistical Office. However, Indian overnight stays remained 14.4% below 2019 levels. Switzerland Tourism’s India marketing programme works with travel agencies and tour operators, focusing on luxury individual travel, families, incentives, and weddings. The campaign also features Indian cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues as Friendship Ambassador for India, showcasing seasonal activities, regional destinations, and public transport connections to encourage travel beyond established hotspots.
