LOT expands network with new San Francisco route

LOT Polish Airlines will expand its air services to the United States in 2026, adding San Francisco to its growing network. Beginning 6 May 2026, the airline will operate four weekly flights between Warsaw Chopin Airport and San Francisco International Airport during the summer season. The new connection strengthens LOT’s long-haul strategy and enhances travel options for passengers flying between Central Europe and the U.S. West Coast.

To offer greater flexibility, LOT has introduced two departure times from Warsaw. Flights LO 37 will operate every Wednesday and Saturday, departing at 17:40 and arriving in San Francisco at 20:15 local time. Flights LO 35 will operate every Thursday and Sunday, departing at 11:15 and arriving at 13:50 local time. All flights will last approximately 11.5 hours and will be operated using Boeing 787 Dreamliners, featuring Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class.

According to Amit Ray, Director for India, DACH Markets, Italy and Malta, and Head of Global Corporate and Strategic Sales, North America remains a strong market for LOT Polish Airlines. The carrier transported nearly 800,000 passengers between Poland and the United States in the past year. With San Francisco becoming LOT’s seventh North American destination—after Chicago, New York-JFK, Newark, Los Angeles, Miami, and Toronto—the airline expects strong demand from both leisure and corporate travellers.

San Francisco continues to be one of the most iconic leisure destinations in the United States, known for landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, and its historic cable cars. Travellers can also enjoy premium shopping, world-class dining, and access to the vibrant cultural scene. Beyond tourism, San Francisco serves as a major international business hub and gateway to Silicon Valley, attracting significant corporate travel.

From India, LOT Polish Airlines offers daily flights to Warsaw. Passengers can fly nonstop from Delhi on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, while nonstop services from Mumbai operate every Sunday and Wednesday. This connectivity enables convenient one-stop access to San Francisco and other global destinations through Warsaw’s expanding hub.

Tickets for the new San Francisco route are now available across all booking platforms. LOT Polish Airlines, a Star Alliance member, continues to grow its global footprint with modern Dreamliner aircraft and an expanding long-haul network. With nearly a century of aviation history since its founding in 1929, LOT remains one of the world’s oldest carriers, connecting Central and Eastern Europe to major international markets.
