Ras Al Khaimah International Airport has announced a major aviation development at the Dubai Airshow, revealing plans for a state-of-the-art VVIP terminal and private jet hangar. This initiative, developed in collaboration with Falcon Executive Aviation of Alex Group Investment, strengthens the Emirate’s vision of becoming a global entertainment and tourism hub. The new facility will transform the airport into a premier gateway for high-profile visitors traveling to the Northern Emirates.
The airport has signed an agreement with Falcon Executive Aviation to establish and operate a world-class Fixed Base Operation (FBO). This project includes a luxurious 1,500 sq m terminal, an 8,000 sq m multi-purpose hangar and 9,000 sq m of apron and aircraft parking space. Its strategic location—just 15 minutes from top beach resorts and the upcoming Wynn Al Marjan Island resort—enhances Ras Al Khaimah’s appeal to elite travelers and private jet clientele.
Eng. Sheikh Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation and RAK International Airport, highlighted the significance of the development. He emphasised that the modern facility strengthens the Emirate’s aviation infrastructure and supports its goal of welcoming high-value investors, partners and international travelers. He also noted that the project showcases the Emirate’s signature hospitality, quality and sophistication.
He further explained that the launch contributes to long-term tourism growth. By integrating advanced technology, environmentally responsible design and support for future mobility, the project aligns with Ras Al Khaimah’s sustainable development goals. This initiative forms part of a broader effort to diversify the economy and enhance the Emirate’s global positioning through forward-looking investments.
Sultan Rashit Abdulla Rashit Al Shene, Founder and Chairman of Alex Group Investment, expressed strong confidence in the project. He stated that the expansion into Ras Al Khaimah is a major step in elevating private aviation services across the UAE. The new facility, designed for luxury and operational excellence, also aligns with the modern sustainability standards required for the future of aviation. It complements the company’s existing presence at Dubai Al Maktoum VIP Terminal.
The VVIP terminal will feature a Royal lounge, four VVIP lounges, dedicated hospitality areas and a highly private environment for high-profile travelers. The surrounding aviation infrastructure will support advanced private aviation needs, including ample parking, a helipad and zones for emerging vertical mobility technologies. Built to international standards, the development will elevate Ras Al Khaimah’s aviation profile and strengthen its role in the region’s growing luxury travel sector.
