Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has partnered with Frieze to transform Abu Dhabi Art into Frieze Abu Dhabi, marking a major milestone in the emirate’s global cultural presence.
For 17 years, Abu Dhabi Art has been a key fixture in the region’s cultural landscape, attracting international collectors and fostering local talent through museums, artist residencies, and cultural institutions. The new collaboration with Frieze leverages its global networks and expertise, expanding the fair’s international reach while maintaining its focus on discovery, dialogue, and global perspectives.
H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of DCT Abu Dhabi, highlighted that this evolution builds on Abu Dhabi Art’s achievements, positioning the emirate as a cultural capital and offering Frieze a unique gateway to the Gulf’s art ecosystem. Simon Fox, CEO of Frieze, emphasised the collaboration will amplify Abu Dhabi’s cultural leadership and showcase regional artistic practices to a worldwide audience.
Frieze Abu Dhabi will debut in November 2026 at Manarat Al Saadiyat, featuring leading galleries from the Middle East and internationally, with Deutsche Bank continuing as the global lead partner. The 2025 edition of Abu Dhabi Art will proceed as planned, ensuring a smooth transition to the new format in 2026.
