The immediate priority for authorities should be to ensure that a minimum of 50% of the regular commercial LPG requirement is made available to the hospitality sector, said Pradeep Shetty, VP, FHRAI & Spokesperson, HRAWI. “This is critical not just for business continuity, but also to safeguard employment, tourism activity, and the broader service economy that depends heavily on hotels and restaurants. The current disruption is already resulting in revenue losses of approximately 25 to 30%. If this situation persists for an extended period, we will consider approaching the Government for financial assistance. Timely intervention is absolutely critical at this stage. Ensuring adequate LPG supply will be key to preventing further revenue losses, maintaining business continuity and restoring confidence across the hospitality and tourism ecosystem,” he said.
