Maharashtra is planning a heli-tourism circuit to ease congestion during the upcoming Nashik Kumbh Mela, enabling pilgrims to travel between key sites by helicopter. The circuit will connect destinations such as Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, Grishneshwar Temple, Bhimashankar Temple, Ajanta Caves and Ellora Caves. With 90–100 lakh visitors expected, the initiative aims to reduce road pressure while improving accessibility, supported by helipad development and infrastructure investment.
