Rendez-vous en France 2026 celebrates 20th edition with 1,850 tourism stakeholders


Atout France is the tourism development, promotion agency of France.The 20th edition of Rendez-vous en France, organised by Atout France, is set to conclude in Nice today, bringing together 1,850 tourism professionals from across the globe and reinforcing France’s position as the world’s leading tourist destination.

Strong Participation and Record Business Engagement
The 2026 edition featured:

• 704 exhibitors
• 814 international opinion leaders from 52 countries
• 28 international journalists
• Over 28,465 scheduled business meetings across two days

The event served as a powerful platform for forging partnerships, signing contracts, and showcasing France’s diverse tourism offerings to international buyers.

France welcomes 102mn tourists in 2025

France reaffirmed its global leadership by welcoming 102 million international visitors in 2025, highlighting the resilience and continued appeal of its tourism sector amid global competition.

Global Representation Across Key Markets
The event saw strong participation from key global markets:

  • Europe accounted for 55% of tour operator delegations
  • Long-haul markets such as the United States, Japan, Brazil, South Korea, China, and Canada were well represented
  • Asia-Pacific markets, including India, played a significant role
    However, participation from certain Middle Eastern markets was impacted due to geopolitical tensions.

Focus on Sustainability and Experiential Travel

A key theme of the 2026 edition was France’s ambition to become a global leader in sustainable tourism by 2030. The focus remains on:
• Delivering authentic, high-quality experiences
• Promoting responsible and inclusive tourism
• Enhancing regional offerings

Fam Trips and Destination Showcasing

Ahead of the event, 60 familiarisation (fam) trips were organised, allowing around 450 international buyers to experience France’s tourism products firsthand. These initiatives are designed to strengthen destination knowledge and drive sales across source markets.

Hosting the event in Nice underlined France’s strategy to diversify tourism beyond traditional gateways. The Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region showcased its year-round appeal, infrastructure, and premium experiences to global buyers.

Supported by key stakeholders including Air France and regional tourism boards, Rendez-vous en France continues to play a pivotal role in strengthening France’s international positioning.
