₹1,000 crore tourism fund to link pilgrimage circuits, boost eco-tourism in Bengal


The West Bengal Government has announced a ₹1,000 crore tourism fund to develop and connect the Shaktipeeth and Chaitanya pilgrimage circuits while strengthening eco-tourism across Darjeeling, the Dooars and the Sundarbans. The initiative forms part of the state’s tourism roadmap focused on heritage, religious and nature-based tourism. Plans also include a Sundarbans tourism master plan and eco-adventure experiences aimed at attracting more domestic and international visitors.
