India inbound arrivals to reach 13 million in 2026, surpassing pre-pandemic levels: Professor Haiyan Song


India is expected to welcome 13 million international visitors in 2026, representing a 19.5 per cent increase over 2019 levels, according to Professor Haiyan Song, Chair Professor and Associate Dean, School of Hotel and Tourism Management, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Speaking during a PATA webinar, Song noted that the US and Bangladesh will remain India’s largest source markets, contributing 17.11 per cent and 15 per cent of arrivals respectively, despite challenges posed by floods, heavy rains, and landslides affecting tourism infrastructure.
