Korea Tourism Organization appoints Cho Yoonmi as its India Director

The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) has appointed Cho Yoonmi as Director of its New Delhi office, effective 30 June 2026. Bringing more than 25 years of experience with the organisation, she will lead KTO’s efforts to strengthen South Korea’s presence in the Indian travel market.

Based in New Delhi, Cho will oversee KTO India’s initiatives to deepen engagement with the travel trade and expand destination promotion across the country. Her appointment comes as India continues to be an important source market for South Korea.

With over two decades of experience at the Korea Tourism Organization, Cho brings extensive institutional knowledge and destination expertise to her new role.

Commenting on her appointment, Cho Yoonmi, Director, Korea Tourism Organization New Delhi Office, said, “With 25 years at KTO, I’ve seen India become one of the most important and fastest-growing markets for Korea tourism. The bond between India and Korea has only grown stronger over the years, and I’ll be working closely with industry partners to take Korea closer to becoming the ultimate destination for Indian travellers.”

Under her leadership, KTO India plans to expand its activities across key Indian cities, strengthen existing partnerships with the travel trade, and introduce initiatives focused on immersive, experience-led travel to South Korea.

The Korea Tourism Organization, operating under South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is the country’s official national tourism organisation. Established in May 2008, the KTO New Delhi Office is responsible for promoting South Korea’s tourism offerings across India and neighbouring countries through partnerships with travel trade stakeholders and the media.
