Tourism’s role as a catalyst for economic growth, investment, and innovation will take centre stage at the ASSOCHAM National Tourism Conclave on 30 September 2026 in New Delhi. The event will bring together policymakers and industry leaders to discuss strategies shaping the future of India’s tourism sector.
Organised by the Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), the conclave will be held under the theme ‘Tourism as an Economic Engine: Technology, Policy, Investment & Global Partnerships’.
The one-day event will convene senior representatives from government, tourism boards, hospitality companies, airlines, airports, travel technology firms, destination management organisations, investors, infrastructure developers, startups, academic institutions, and the media to deliberate on the opportunities and challenges facing the tourism industry.
Discussions will focus on policy reforms, investment opportunities, technology adoption, destination development, global partnerships, and the role of tourism in driving economic growth and employment generation.
Industry dialogue
According to ASSOCHAM, the conclave is designed to provide a platform for industry leaders and policymakers to exchange ideas on strengthening India’s tourism ecosystem while supporting sustainable and inclusive growth.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage with policymakers, gain insights into emerging policy and investment priorities, explore new business opportunities, and build partnerships across the tourism value chain.
The conclave is also expected to bring together stakeholders from hospitality, aviation, travel technology, mobility, destination marketing, and skilling institutions, reflecting the increasing convergence of sectors driving tourism development.
Focus on tourism-led growth
As India continues to invest in areas such as heritage, spiritual, and eco-tourism, the conclave will examine how technology, infrastructure, and public-private collaboration can contribute to strengthening the country’s position as a global tourism destination.
