The journey begins long before passengers step aboard. From the moment I stepped into Seville’s iconic Hotel Alfonso XIII for onboarding and orientation for the tour, it became evident that every touchpoint had been carefully considered. A guided introduction to the city, a leisurely lunch at this century-old iconic property, and a panoramic tour ensured that guests were already immersed in Andalusia before boarding what Renfe aptly calls a “palace on rails”.

The culinary experience on this journey deserves equal recognition. While the itinerary featured outstanding regional restaurants and memorable gastronomic experiences, some of my finest meals were served onboard. The chefs celebrated Andalusian flavours while accommodating individual dietary preferences with exceptional care and innovation.
