SOTC Travel, a well-established name in the travel and tourism space, has broadened its footprint in the business events space with the launch of a dedicated Professional Conference Organiser and Exhibitions Division. Building on the company’s long-standing experience in MICE, this new vertical represents a natural extension of its offerings, allowing SOTC to provide specialized, end-to-end solutions for conferences, association events, and exhibitions.
The move comes at a time when India’s business events sector is experiencing strong growth, fueled by rising investment in convention infrastructure, growing participation from international associations, and expansion across knowledge-driven industries such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, technology, BFSI, and manufacturing. This momentum is further supported by government-led efforts like the Meet in India campaign and the National Strategy for the MICE Industry, both aimed at establishing India as a top global choice for hosting conferences, conventions, and exhibitions. SOTC’s new division has been shaped specifically to meet these emerging demands through an integrated, full-service approach backed by its existing MICE capabilities and travel network.
The division will offer a wide-ranging suite of services covering end-to-end conference management, medical and scientific congress organization, association conference support, delegate registration, speaker and faculty coordination, and abstract and poster management. It will also handle sponsorship and exhibition management, venue sourcing, travel and accommodation arrangements, visa facilitation, event technology, and hybrid or virtual event execution, positioning itself as a single-window provider for seamless, technology-enabled conference experiences.
In its initial phase, the division will concentrate on sectors including healthcare and medical sciences, pharmaceuticals, technology, BFSI, manufacturing, industry associations, and education and research institutions, along with public-sector organizations. Key focus markets for this rollout include Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kolkata.
Speaking on the launch, S.D. Nandakumar, President & Country Head for Holidays and Corporate Tours at SOTC Travel, described the new division as a natural evolution of the company’s MICE journey, noting that conferences are increasingly becoming strategic platforms for collaboration and knowledge exchange. He emphasized that a dedicated team, supported by SOTC’s broader travel ecosystem, positions the company well to help corporates, associations, and government bodies deliver high-quality events going forward.
