UP reviews ₹109-crore tourism plan to boost Kashi division with new ghats, museums & cultural infrastructure


The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has reviewed 36 tourism projects worth ₹109.2 crore for Kashi division under the 2026–27 action plan, with a focus on strengthening the region’s spiritual and cultural tourism infrastructure. Key proposals include a ₹15-crore permanent Ganga ghat at Sarai Mohana, a ₹17-crore, 1,000-seat auditorium at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, a ₹24.63-crore Sant Ravidas Museum, a ₹5.21-crore Munshi Premchand Memorial Museum and Library, a ₹5-crore Parampara Centre, ₹17 crore for multilingual tourism signage, and a ₹10-crore eco-tourism project at Karkhiya village in Pindra.
