Tourism Malaysia will host the Citrawarna Speed Festival 2026 from September 23 to October 4, combining Malaysian cultural showcases with motorsport-themed experiences as part of Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 (VM2026–2027).
The festival will take place at IOI City Mall Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 and Sama-Sama Hotel. It will feature two main components, Colours of Speed and Colours of Art & Culture, with activities spread across the participating venues.
Colours of Speed will offer motorsport-inspired attractions, including racing memorabilia, autographed items and a showcase of supercars. Visitors at IOI City Mall Putrajaya can also participate in a racing simulator competition, progressing through qualifying rounds for a chance to reach the final and win prizes.
Colours of Art & Culture will spotlight Malaysia’s diverse traditions through music, dance, handicrafts, cultural performances and interactive activities. A key attraction will be the Colours of Parade, bringing together 1,500 dancers and cultural performers representing communities from across Malaysia.
The festival has received support from partners including Yes Travel & Holidays, IOI Properties, the National Department for Culture and Arts (JKKN), Istana Budaya, Kraftangan Malaysia, Sama-Sama Hotel, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad, SNS Network, SDeal Malaysia Sim Racing & Motorsport and HP.
Tourism Malaysia aims to use the popularity of motorsport to reach wider audiences while promoting the country’s cultural and tourism offerings. Malaysia recorded 21.1 million international visitor arrivals between January and June 2026, up 2.5% from 20.6 million during the corresponding period in 2025. The festival is expected to support tourism activity, local economic opportunities and cultural appreciation under VM2026–2027.
