Air India has entered into a codeshare partnership with Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), enabling customers to book seamless travel on a single ticket between India and Azerbaijan. Under the agreement, Air India will place its ‘AI’ designator code on AZAL-operated flights connecting Delhi and Mumbai with Baku, with the codeshare effective from 29 July 2026. The partnership offers coordinated schedules, through check-in and baggage transfers, while expanding Air India’s international network. The agreement also strengthens connectivity to the Caucasus region and adds Azerbaijan Airlines to Air India’s growing portfolio of global codeshare partners.
