AirAsia will resume Kuala Lumpur–Ahmedabad flights from 25 October and Kuala Lumpur–Amritsar services from 2 December, operating four times weekly on each route. The reinstatement adds connectivity between Malaysia and two major Indian cities, with AirAsia offering introductory fares from RM669 one-way for bookings through October 11. The airline’s return comes as India remains a key source market for Malaysia: Tourism Malaysia recorded 738,709 Indian visitors in January–June 2026. In July, more than 176 weekly direct flights connected India with Malaysia, providing 33,412 weekly seats. Malaysia recorded 28.8 million international visitors in January–August 2026, up 1.8% year on year, according to Tourism Malaysia data reported by Bernama.
