American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT), a leading software and services company for travel, expense, and meetings & events, has announced a series of platform enhancements aimed at giving travel managers deeper program intelligence while equipping travelers with tools to navigate disruptions and access their benefits more seamlessly. The updates include an AI-powered Travel Manager Dashboard for Egencia customers, spend intelligence and leakage visibility for Complete by SAP Concur and Amex GBT, end-to-end disruption management, direct loyalty integration into the booking experience, and new capabilities for clients using Guest Travel & Expense (T&E).
Amex GBT President Drew Crawley said the conversation around business travel value is shifting from measuring spend to understanding what that travel actually enabled, adding that the company is investing in technology, insights and expertise to support that shift with greater confidence for customers and travelers.
On the program intelligence side, the new leakage reporting feature in Complete gives travel managers a comprehensive view of spending occurring outside the managed travel program, broken down by business line, travel category, vendor and traveler, drawing on combined data from Concur Travel and Amex GBT, including offline bookings. Clients such as Salesforce and ITW praised the collaboration between Amex GBT and SAP Concur, citing improved joint engineering efforts and faster outcomes since the partnership began.
The Egencia Travel Manager Dashboard, powered by more than a petabyte of travel data, offers a centralized, real-time view of program performance, including an AI-generated program summary, a biweekly “One Minute Travel Manager” update, key performance indicators, a program effectiveness score, proactive alerts and one-click access to frequently used tools—reducing the need for manual reporting.
On the traveler experience front, the Complete mobile app now integrates end-to-end disruption management, offering real-time notifications, self-service trip changes, automatic airline fee waivers, personalized recommendations and live chat support within the app. A new feature called Perks brings supplier offers, negotiated rates and loyalty benefits directly into the booking experience across air, hotel and ground travel—launching first in Complete, with Egencia to follow. This includes real-time loyalty point validation, automatically stacked corporate and loyalty benefits, one-click loyalty sign-up, and easy access to fast-track and status perks at the point of booking.
The company’s Guest T&E platform, which manages the full non-employee travel and expense journey from event creation through reconciliation, is expanding its availability. Currently live in the U.S. and U.K., it is set to launch in Australia in Q4 2026, followed by Singapore, Belgium, France and Germany in later phases. New capabilities include a per-event travel policy builder, simplified guest bookings with pre-populated trip details, compliance extracts for regulatory adherence, and a Guest Hub offering a real-time view of RSVPs and booking status. Early enterprise deployments have reportedly reduced event creation time from up to four hours to around five minutes, saved roughly 10 hours per event through automated reconciliation, and achieved a self-service booking rate of 94.5%.
Amex GBT Chief Product & Strategy Officer Evan Konwiser said the announcements reflect the breadth of the company’s investment across its portfolio, from AI-powered program intelligence to seamless disruption management and integrated non-employee travel solutions, emphasizing a commitment to making managed travel smarter, simpler and more connected.
Separately, Amex GBT recently launched an Egencia AI connector in Claude, enabling travelers and enterprise AI agents to search, book and manage policy-compliant business travel directly within familiar tools. The rollout also included expanded conversational AI support in Google Chat for Egencia and a Microsoft Teams pilot for Neo customers, built on Amex GBT’s new proprietary agent-to-agent architecture.
