The Australian Government will introduce the Australia Travel Declaration (ATD) at all international airports and seaports within the next 12–18 months, replacing the paper Incoming Passenger Card. The ATD has already been tested on eligible Qantas flights carrying more than 450,000 travellers to Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne airports, with Perth and Adelaide set to join by the end of 2026. Backed by a A$ 56.1 million investment, the digital system aims to speed border clearance, strengthen biosecurity, and enhance the traveller experience.
