Ram Mohan Naidu, Union Minister of Civil Aviation and Apostolos Tzitzikostas, European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, led the inaugural India–EU Aviation Dialogue, advancing the Connectivity Partnership launched in 2021. The dialogue aims to deepen cooperation between India’s DGCA and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), with emphasis on scalability, safety, sustainability, and security. Naidu said aviation will play a “critical enabling role” under the India–EU Free Trade Agreement, particularly in expanding air cargo and strengthening aviation workforce skills. The initiative is expected to support closer aviation cooperation and enhance connectivity between India and the European Union.
