Bihar launches heli tourism scheme with subsidised air services

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has launched the Bihar Heli Tourism and Air Tourism Service Scheme to improve connectivity and promote tourism across the state. An online booking portal for the service was also inaugurated.

In the first phase, the air tourism service will connect Patna, Valmikinagar, Maa Mundeshwari and Rajgir. The state government will provide a subsidy of up to INR 15,422 per ticket to make the service more affordable for travellers.

Helicopter tourism operations will begin on July 18 and run every Saturday and Sunday. The Chief Minister said the weekly service will eventually be expanded into a daily operation as demand grows.

The initiative aims to enhance tourist access to Bihar’s key destinations while supporting the state’s broader tourism development efforts.
