Char Dham Yatra registrations cross 45 Lakh


 

The annual Char Dham and Hemkund Sahib Yatra has witnessed a strong response from pilgrims, with total registrations crossing 45.31 lakh, according to officials. The figures reflect the continued popularity of one of India’s most significant pilgrimage circuits.

 

Among all destinations, Kedarnath Temple recorded the highest number of registrations, attracting nearly 14.87 lakh devotees. It was followed by Badrinath Temple with 13.48 lakh registrations, highlighting the strong demand for visits to these revered Himalayan shrines.

 

Registrations for Gangotri Temple reached approximately 8.06 lakh, while Yamunotri Temple recorded around 7.78 lakh enrolments. Hemkund Sahib accounted for nearly 1.11 lakh registrations.

 

Offline registration facilities also continue to receive significant footfall. On Monday alone, 25,568 devotees completed physical registration procedures at various centres across Uttarakhand.

 

The Rishikesh Transit Camp registered the highest daily turnout with 11,492 pilgrims, while centres in Haridwar processed 11,357 registrations. Additional registrations were recorded at the Rishikesh Gurudwara, Nayagaun, and Herbertpur centres.

 

The pilgrimage season officially began on April 19 with the reopening of the Gangotri and Yamunotri temples on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. The portals of Kedarnath and Badrinath were opened subsequently, allowing devotees to undertake the sacred journey through the Himalayan region.
