Concur expands European rail booking through SNCF ÖBB

SAP Concur is expanding its European rail offering by integrating content from French rail operator SNCF and Austrian operator ÖBB into Concur Travel, giving business travellers access to more domestic and cross-border rail journeys through a single platform.

The SNCF integration includes services such as TGV, regional trains, Eurostar and Lyria. Travellers can search, book, manage and cancel SNCF journeys within Concur Travel, while ticket changes and exchanges are expected to become available by Q1 2027.

ÖBB content is also now available, allowing business travellers to search, book and pay for journeys without switching to an external rail provider. The additions build on Concur’s existing rail content and aim to address the fragmented nature of Europe’s rail booking ecosystem.

SAP Concur is working with Trainline Partner Solutions, which aggregates content from multiple rail providers through a single integration. The expanded partnership also introduces Journey Stitching, allowing travellers to combine services from different operators into one itinerary and booking.

The feature supports cross-border journeys involving multiple operators and countries, while also allowing travellers arriving in Europe to pre-book onward rail connections before departure. This can help keep more elements of a business trip within a company’s managed travel programme.

Paul Dear, VP Concur Travel EMEA at SAP Concur, said corporate customers had been seeking a rail booking experience that works across borders. He said the expanded network would provide companies with more rail options in a single booking while supporting lower-emissions business travel, journey visibility, duty of care and emissions tracking.
