Destination DC is has launched the Phase II of the Washington, DC Special Agent Academy (DCSAA), an interactive training programme designed to equip travel professionals in India with the knowledge, insights and tools they need to become experts on the U.S. capital.
Building on the success of last year’s agent incentive programme, the new phase aims to encourage greater participation and increase the number and mix of travel professionals who complete the academy. The initiative combines the programme’s proven training format with an attractive tiered incentive structure, giving participants an additional reason to deepen their knowledge of Washington, DC.
Speaking about the initiative, Letizia Sirtori, Vice President, Tourism and Global Development, Destination DC, said “Travel professionals are essential partners in inspiring Indian travellers and helping them discover all that Washington, DC has to offer. Through the Special Agent Academy, advisors gain practical destination knowledge and the confidence to create memorable itineraries tailored to their clients. Travel professionals who successfully complete the required training by 17 September 2026 will be eligible to enter a lucky draw for the chance to win Amazon gift vouchers.
Become a Certified Washington, DC Special Agent
To earn the prestigious title of Washington, DC Special Agent, participants must complete the academy’s three Core Missions:
• Mission Information: Essential details about Washington, DC
• Mission 3M’s: Monuments, Memorials and Museums – exploring DC’s most iconic attractions
• Mission There’s Only 1 DC: Discovering what sets Washington, DC apart from other destinations
Travel professionals who have already completed the three Core Missions can qualify for the incentive by completing three elective courses. These courses can be found under the Catalogue tab by using the category filter.
Rewards for Completing the Mission
A total of 30 winners will be selected to receive Amazon gift vouchers. The incentive programme will be rolled out in phases over a two-month campaign period, building momentum and encouraging continued participation among travel professionals.
