Dubai Safari Park will open its eighth season on 12 October 2026, introducing a week-long “Wildest Opening Week” during the schools’ mid-term break. The celebration will feature family activities and experiences centred on wildlife, alongside the park’s regular safari adventures, premium experiences, live presentations, and six themed zones.
Running from 12–18 October, the “Wildest Opening Week” will mark the first such celebration at Dubai Safari Park. The week will offer activities designed for children and adults, including personalised keepsakes, photography, art, and other experiences.
A key feature will be the “Little Explorers’ Base Camp”, an adventure zone created for younger visitors. Activities will include safari face painting, a temporary tattoo station, clay model making, arts and crafts, lawn games, safari-themed inflatables, and other activities.
Season 8 is themed “Live More Wild Life”, with the opening week designed to encourage visitors to connect with wildlife and explore their interest in nature. The park said the celebration combines entertainment and education through experiences aimed at families.
Safari and premium experiences
Beyond the opening week, visitors can explore six themed zones and access a range of experiences.
The Arabian Desert Safari is included with all park tickets, while the Safari Bundle offers an upgrade to the Explorer Safari Tour. The tour provides opportunities to see lions, giraffes, and rhinos in open-range habitats, including Salam the baby white rhino and Dalia the giraffe.
Premium experiences include King of Safari, Behind the Scenes, Dine in the Wild, and Jungle Capture. These offer private tours, exclusive access, and dining experiences near the animals.
The park will also offer live presentations including Bird’s Kingdom, Echoes of the Wild, and Birds of Prey, which provide insights into animal behaviour and the park’s conservation message.
Wildlife and conservation
Dubai Safari Park is a wildlife sanctuary spread across 119 hectares. It houses more than 3,000 animals representing 300 species and combines entertainment, education, and animal welfare.
The park is a member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA) and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA). According to the release, these memberships support its commitment to international standards in animal care, conservation, and sustainability.
Its six themed zones are African Village, Explorer Village, Asian Village, Arabian Desert Safari, Kids’ Farm, and Al Wadi. They are connected by a shuttle train, with the park also offering animal encounters, live presentations, character performances, shopping, dining, and interactive educational activities.
Dubai Safari Park also participates in international educational research and breeding programmes, as well as rescue missions. It said it uses advanced technologies for animal care and eco-friendly operations as part of its environmental sustainability efforts.
