Bader Ali Habib, Regional Head, Proximity Markets, Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, said Dubai will deepen India engagement by targeting tier III and IV cities while expanding luxury, Gen Z, weddings, MICE, and golf offerings. The strategy aims to build traveller relationships as hotels and attractions broaden choice.
Habib said tier I markets already have strong familiarity with Dubai, while the destination is seeking deeper penetration into smaller Indian cities. He also highlighted more affordable hotel pricing and value additions as ways for travel trade to offset high airfares, alongside Dubai’s broader push into wellness, transport, events, and infrastructure.
