Egypt will raise the single-entry visa fee from US$30 to US$33 for foreign travellers from 1 January 2027, according to Circular No. 173/2026 issued by the Egyptian Travel Agents Association (ETAA), citing a Cabinet decision. The increase is 10%, with the circular clarifying earlier reports of a possible US$15 levy. Egypt’s official e-Visa portal currently lists the single-entry tourism visa at US$30 and multiple-entry visa at US$65, while the Interior Ministry also lists US$30, meaning the new rate is not yet reflected on government portals. For Indian travellers, the change comes as Egypt recorded 50,000 Indian tourist arrivals in 2024, according to the Indian Embassy in Cairo. Egypt welcomed nearly 19 million tourists in 2025, up 21% year-on-year.
