D.N. Singh appointed Chairman; Avneesh Pathak named Secretary as association expands presence in the state
The Global Association of Events & Hospitality Professionals (GAEHP) has launched its Uttar Pradesh Chapter in Varanasi, bringing travel, tourism, events and hospitality professionals under a new state-level industry platform.
D.N. Singh has been appointed Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Chapter, while Avneesh Pathak has been named Secretary. The appointments were announced at the chapter’s launch event in Varanasi, which was attended by tourism officials, travel and hospitality professionals, industry representatives and GAEHP office-bearers.
The chapter is expected to focus on industry networking, knowledge sharing, government-industry engagement and business opportunities for stakeholders across Uttar Pradesh. Its agenda also includes closer collaboration with tourism authorities and industry bodies on issues affecting the state’s travel, hospitality and events sectors.
Tourism officials attend launch
Amit Gupta, Assistant Director, India Tourism, and Dinesh Kumar, Joint Director, Uttar Pradesh Tourism, attended the programme. Both officials were felicitated during the event.
Addressing the gathering, GAEHP Hon. Secretary Pranav Bansal, National Advisor P.P. Khanna and President Rajesh Arya, along with Gupta and Kumar, highlighted the need for stronger collaboration among industry stakeholders and government bodies.
The discussions centred on professional networking, industry partnerships and collective efforts to support tourism, hospitality and business events in Uttar Pradesh.
Chapter to focus on industry engagement
The new chapter will provide a platform for professionals across the state to connect and collaborate, with GAEHP positioning the initiative around knowledge exchange, professional engagement and closer interaction with government tourism bodies.
The association also felicitated D.N. Singh for his contribution and long-standing association with the industry, while Sushil Singh of Jatak Travels was recognised for his contribution to the travel fraternity.
The launch was attended by GAEHP office-bearers and team members, including Babita Sharma, Pratibha Arora, Dilip Rajput, Harjinder Singh and Sandip Shaw. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dilip Rajput, Joint Secretary, GAEHP.
The Varanasi launch gives GAEHP a formal presence in Uttar Pradesh, with the chapter expected to serve as a point of engagement for travel, tourism, events and hospitality stakeholders across the state.
