Himachal Pradesh has inaugurated its first digital museum at the 140-year-old Bantony Castle in Shimla, marking a major step in heritage tourism. Inaugurating the ₹8 crore project, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said the museum uses immersive digital technology to showcase the state’s history, culture, architecture and the UNESCO-listed Kalka-Shimla Railway. The restored colonial-era landmark is expected to emerge as a key attraction for tourists, students and heritage enthusiasts.
